The Ratcliff Photography Exhibit
ArthurRatliff is a local historian, national explorer and world-wide traveler.
He took his first trip abroad while in college. He studied at London Polytech and travel extensively during his semester in the United Kingdom. Since then he has traveled to numerous countries. The Spanish that he learned at Northwestern University came in handy in Mexico, South & Central America. He continued his language studies in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Spain.
He picked up his first camera at age eleven and became the unofficial family photographer. Today, he is a professional that captures weddings and special events. His favorite subjects are travel and festivals. Locally, he is a hike leader for the Sierra Club. He led his one-hundred hike several years ago. His hikes are concentrated in the Georgia/North Carolina area. However, he has traveled to many of the national parks including Yosemite, Yellowstone and Zion canyons. His favorite pastime is sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with young adventurers.
